When Packaging Fails, It’s Rarely the Box — It’s the Spec
- ✕ Corrugated boxes that arrive undamaged in winter but crush and collapse in warehouse humidity through Jeddah and Dammam
- ✕ Retail orders bounced back for SFDA labeling or SASO non-compliance after the print run is already done
- ✕ E-commerce parcels damaged in transit from board built for pallets, not repeated courier handling
- ✕ Two separate suppliers for corrugated and flexible film, creating two separate delays
- ✕ Packaging specified from an imported catalog never designed for Gulf heat or GCC export requirements
KSA Packaging exists because these aren’t packaging failures — they’re specification failures.
We manufacture corrugated cartons and flexible film packaging under one roof, and every job starts with your product’s actual climate exposure, handling pattern, and compliance requirement, not a one-size-fits-all size chart.
What We Manufacture
KSA Packaging is a single source for both rigid and flexible packaging formats used across Saudi Arabia’s food and beverage, FMCG, pharmaceutical, personal care, agricultural, petrochemical, and e-commerce sectors:
Corrugated cartons & carton board packaging — RSC cartons, folding cartons, and multi-ply constructions for shipping, retail, and industrial use
Flexible packaging — Films, pouches, and rolls built through extrusion, including blown film and co-extruded film structures
Paper cores and tubes — Spiral-wound cores up to 32-ply
Protective packaging — Void-fill, wrap, and cushioning formats for e-commerce and industrial transit
Packaging consulting & design — Spec review, dieline development, and material selection before a single sheet goes to press
What counts as “protective packaging”? Any format whose primary job is absorbing shock or preventing movement in transit — corrugated inserts, shrink-wrapped bundling, and stretch-film pallet stabilization all fall under this category, and we specify each based on your product’s fragility and handling profile rather than a single default.
Whether your project needs food-safety-certified corrugated packaging for a dairy line or LDPE/LLDPE stretch film for a warehouse in Jubail, it runs through the same production and quality process.
What You Actually Get
- ✓ Fewer damaged shipments — board grade and film specification matched to your real handling and climate exposure
- ✓ Faster retail restocking — shelf-ready formats built to retailer dimension and print standards
- ✓ Compliance handled up front — SFDA and SASO reviewed before production, not discovered after
- ✓ One supplier for corrugated and flexible packaging — no coordinating between two vendors
- ✓ Export-ready construction — meets ISPM-15 exemption status for wood-alternative export shipping
- ✓ Lower total packaging cost over time — right-sized boxes and film gauges reduce waste and damage-related returns
Does better packaging actually lower costs, or just performance? Both, in practice — a right-sized box reduces dimensional-weight shipping charges directly, and correctly specified board or film reduces the damage-related returns that quietly eat into margin.
Our Unique Selling Points of Industrial Packaging Company Saudi Arabia
Dual-category manufacturing — Corrugated and flexible film from one production base
Climate-first specification — Every job accounts for Gulf heat and humidity before price
Compliance built into the process — SFDA, SASO, GCC export requirements from the first conversation
Consulting, not just conversion — Product, failure history, and route reviewed before a construction is recommended
Local production, Vision 2030-aligned — Shortens supply chains vs. imported packaging
Why does it matter that packaging is manufactured locally rather than imported? Local production shortens lead times, reduces exposure to international freight delays, and supports the in-Kingdom value objectives that matter to Vision 2030-aligned buyers and Aramco/SABIC-chain vendor qualification alike.
The Decision Usually Comes Down to This
Saudi Arabia has no shortage of packaging suppliers. Before choosing a manufacturer, it helps to know exactly what you’re getting and why.
What should I actually ask a packaging supplier before signing a contract? Ask for the specific board grade or film gauge and why it was chosen, ask how they account for humidity and heat on your shipping route, and ask what happens if a shipment fails SFDA or SASO review — vague answers to any of these are a warning sign.
Serving In Riyadh — Delivering Across the Kingdom
The Kingdom’s largest consumer and retail market, near Kingdom Centre and the King Abdullah Financial District. We also support GCC export shipments for manufacturers supplying Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, and Kuwait — the King Fahd Causeway makes Dammam-based export particularly direct for Bahrain-bound freight — along with regional demand from areas such as Al-Ahsa, where agricultural and date-packaging needs are common. Deliveries are scheduled and routed using Saudi Arabia’s National Address system, so shipments reach the correct building, district, and postal code on the first attempt.

About KSA Packaging
Founded in 2010, KSA Packaging is a Saudi Arabia-based industrial packaging manufacturer producing corrugated cartons and flexible film packaging for food and beverage, FMCG, pharmaceutical, personal care, agricultural, petrochemical, and e-commerce businesses across the Kingdom. Our manufacturing facility is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from where we’ve served customers nationwide for over 16 years.
Our approach starts with how your product is actually handled, stored, and shipped in Saudi Arabia’s climate, then works backward to the right board grade, flute, film, or gauge. That process is guided by an experienced production and quality leadership team, and backed by a certification portfolio spanning ISO 9001, ISO 9001:2015 (Corrugated Cartons), ISO 22000, OHSAS 18001 / ISO 18000, and SASO Certification.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does Saudi Arabia’s heat and humidity affect corrugated box strength?
High humidity can reduce a corrugated box’s edge-crush and stacking strength significantly, while heat accelerates adhesive stress. For Gulf conditions, we recommend upsizing board grade, using moisture-resistant adhesives, and applying humidity-adjusted safety factors, especially for coastal routes through Jeddah and Dammam.
Is corrugated packaging exempt from ISPM-15 export requirements?
Yes. ISPM-15 applies to solid-wood packaging such as pallets, crates, and dunnage. Corrugated packaging is exempt, no heat treatment, fumigation, or IPPC stamp required. Since Saudi Arabia began enforcing ISPM-15 in July 2024, switching from wooden cases to corrugated removes a compliance step from export shipments.
Which flute type, B, C, or E, should I choose?
C-flute is the general-purpose standard, balancing cushioning and stacking strength. B-flute is thinner with a better print surface, suited to die-cuts and retail packs. E-flute gives the finest print finish for premium cartons. We match flute type to your product and print needs.
Do you manufacture both corrugated cartons and flexible film packaging?
Yes. Corrugated cartons, paper cores, and flexible film, including PE rolls, stretch film, shrink film, and construction and greenhouse rolls, are manufactured under one roof, so cross-category projects don’t require coordinating between separate suppliers.
What is the difference between LDPE and LLDPE film?
LDPE offers better clarity and flexibility, commonly used for general-purpose bags and liners. LLDPE offers higher tensile and puncture resistance at a thinner gauge, commonly used for stretch film and heavier-duty applications. We specify the resin type based on your load weight and handling conditions.
Does your packaging meet SFDA and SASO requirements?
Our food-contact packaging is produced to meet Saudi Food and Drug Authority requirements, and we review the applicable SASO technical regulation for your product category before production, since requirements vary by category.
Do you deliver to Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Jubail, Yanbu, and Madinah?
Yes, we manufacture and deliver across these hubs and support GCC export for regional buyers.
Local Case Studies
Illustrative Example — Not an Actual Client Project
Food & Beverage Distribution — Jeddah Corridor
A dairy or beverage distributor shipping through Jeddah’s summer heat and humidity would typically need corrugated cartons with an upgraded edge-crush rating and moisture-resistant adhesive, to prevent stacking collapse in non-climate-controlled storage — addressed at the specification stage, not after a damaged shipment.
Illustrative Example — Not an Actual Client Project
E-Commerce Fulfilment — Riyadh
An e-commerce retailer facing parcel damage from repeated courier handling would typically move from pallet-grade board to a construction tested for drop and compression, paired with right-sized cartons that also reduce dimensional-weight shipping costs.
Illustrative Example — Not an Actual Client Project
Agricultural Export — Eastern Province
An agricultural exporter routing produce through Dammam’s port would typically specify UV-stabilized stretch film and moisture-resistant board to withstand Eastern Province humidity during transit and storage.
The scenarios above are illustrative examples of how we’d typically approach common industry packaging challenges — they are not descriptions of actual completed client projects. Real, verified case studies with client industry, region, and measurable results will replace these once available.
